After some thought, I realized there are four main reasons why I always dress smartly and why I strongly suggest you should too if you want serious success with women.

Why You Should Always Dress To Impress

Reason #1 – “Extra Seconds”

You’ll get those, what I call “extra seconds” from prospects and people in general when you dress smartly. By that I mean people who would ordinarily look at you for just a second or two when you’re out and about will now look at you for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 seconds plus.

Reason #2 – Respect

Your appearance will ultimately determine how others speak with you and the RESPECT they show you. If you don’t believe me, I challenge you to put on your best suit right now and walk around your local high street.

I personally guarantee you’ll not only notice all those extra seconds, but if you ask someone for their time they’ll be more inclined to give it to you because of the respect you’re appearance commands.

The media and sales professionals know this all too well. Do you think it’s an accident that the most successful salespeople and the most reputable news readers are always wearing suits? Of course not.

That fact of the matter is this: People buy people.

Ask yourself who you are most impressed with when you go to buy an electronic appliance, car, house or other item: the well-groomed salesman in his three-piece-suit or the scruffy salesman in his tracksuit bottoms and ketchup-stained t-shirt? I know which one I’d buy from.

Have you ever seen a news reader announce the news in a t-shirt? (Hawaiian news readers don’t count!)

No?

Didn’t think so.

Reason #3 – First Impression

It’s a cliché I know, but it’s true – ‘You never get a second chance to make a first impression.’

So if you can make a positive and lasting first impression, then fantastic. You’ll differentiate yourself from most other guys your prospect has met.

Unfortunately for me, I learnt this lesson the hard way. Let me explain.

I used to dress in what they call ‘smart-casual’ – typically going on nights-out wearing jeans and shirt with jumper or jeans and a t-shirt.

But one day all my jeans were in the wash and I had nothing to wear except a pair of smart grey trousers. This dictated the rest of my outfit for the evening, as I had to match my trousers with a smart pair of shoes, collared shirt, suit jacket, etc.

I was thinking to myself “Am I a bit overdressed here? It’s Friday night and I don’t normally do this. I know I see people out who tend to dress quite smartly, but I’m not sure how this is gonna go down.”

I was out of my comfort zone. Uncomfortable is probably the right word to use.

But as it turned out, this really was a blessing in disguise!

That evening the number of extra seconds people were giving me was staggering – women in particular. Better yet, because I’d gained their time, respect, and made a great first impression, women were approaching me! I must have spoken with at least a dozen women that evening (but I confess I only bedded one), and almost all of them asked this question:

“What do you do for a living?”

Reason?

Reason #4 – Wealth

If given the choice, how many women do you think would like a wealthy guy? Answer = Billions. Women associate dressing smartly with business people, movie stars, celebrities, and people of stature and status. When you dress to impress, you’re casting yourself with the same brush.

Make the extra effort gentlemen. Trust me, it really is worth it.

No matter where in the world you live, dressing smartly will get you the most, and the best women.

Women want financial security. Who doesn’t? So no matter how much debt you’re in, if you look like you have wealth with your smart shoes, smart trousers, waistcoat, suit jacket, tie, briefcase, confident posture, and all, you’ll tick one of every woman’s most important boxes: the ability to provide, aka wealth.

Tip: You’ll notice that the calibre of women you attract will improve when you dress smartly. And that’s not to mention all the times you’ll get served first at busy bars, get queue jumps or discounted entry just because you dress well.

Tip: The best bit about dressing smartly is that everyone has the ability to do it! What’s more, it’s quick and simple to achieve.

Tip: The fashion industry would have you believe that fashion is everything, with so-called ‘fashion experts’ and TV shows telling you what to wear, and what not to wear in some cases. But if you go and buy something that’s at the height of fashion now, I guarantee that in about three months’ time that the outfit will be out of fashion as the season changes, and your wallet will be worse for wear. Instead, invest in some nice suits with great accessories – suits won’t be going out of date any time soon.

Tip: I’m reliably informed that the town of Hội An in Viet Nam is packed full of tailors who will knock you up tailored suits at bargain prices in no time.

Need Inspiration?

If you’re stuck for ideas I would recommend looking at whom women have voted the sexiest men on the planet. Daniel Craig is a great example; you rarely see the man in anything but a suit.

Learn from the successful in society and mirror their garments. Watching the latest James Bond movies has often proved fruitful for me.

Don’t copy these people 100% however, as that wouldn’t be fair on them (and probably won’t work for you unless you normally wear a shoulder holster). Do what works best for you: for example, if you have green eyes, wear a green tie and handkerchief with your suit.

Tip: Personalising cuff links with your initials is also a nice touch.

Tip: Remember to always “Be yourself; everybody else is already taken” (Oscar Wilde).

Stubble!

Justin Timberlake, Wentworth Miller, David Beckham, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, George Clooney, Leonardo Di Caprio, Tom Cruise, Orlando Bloom, José Mourinho, I could go on. These gents are consistently voted amongst the sexiest men in the world by women. And they all have one thing in common – stubble!

If you want to look sexier to women simply grow some facial hair. Virtually overnight women will start giving you those extra seconds we spoke about earlier.

What’s more, stubble is FREE!

So invest in yourself and buy a beard trimmer to maintain your new love for facial hair. A minimum of 0.5mm is my minimum length – anything less and I look too clean- shaven.

Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being clean shaven; in fact, I love my women to be just that where it matters. But you want to look sexy.

As for maximum length, take 1.5mm as a rule of thumb.

Another great benefit is that stubble can also be used as a sort of camouflage. Many of you, will like me, not have been blessed with the clearest of skin. So stubble can help limit the appearance of blemishes too.

Your Health

I recommend exercising for an hour a day at least three times per week. Your body will release endorphins – the body’s natural opiates – so you’ll feel fantastic! You’ll have more energy. Your posture will improve. And better yet, if your workout and diet are structured to do so, you’ll start to develop some muscles.

I don’t know how to put this better than author of The System, Roy Valentine, who has this to say about muscles:

“I recommend every guy go to the closest gym today and start working out. Reason #1: girls can’t help staring at a guy who has muscles. Reason #2: most guys are skinny, fat, badly shaped. Having some muscles gives you a leg up on the competition. Not having muscles does not prevent you from getting laid, but it will make it significantly easier to score if you do have muscles. Muscles sell! It’s like girls with big tits. It isn’t that guys don’t like girls with small tits, but we simply can’t ignore a girl with big ones. It’s the same for girls when they’re around guys with big muscles. Even if the guy is butt ugly, the girl won’t be able to stop staring at him. She’ll fell an uncontrollable urge to touch those muscles.”

Tip: Bench-pressing, squatting, and dead-lifting are the three most effective exercises to help you add muscle quickly.

Caveat: Having a great physique with hard biceps, a powerful chest, a classic six-pack, etc. will get you a better quality of woman – of that there is no doubt. BUT, having a great physique will mean little unless you work on your mental, material, and technical attributes too.

Do You Want a ‘Healthy Glow’?

One of the most successful PUAs I know feels he gains a point or two in the looks department by having a good tan. That ‘healthy glow’ you get can add a couple of points for sure. Try not to overdo it mind you, as you don’t want to look sunburnt or red in any way.

Another benefit is that it’s associated with wealth and will have women wondering if you’ve just been overseas on holiday somewhere exotic, and it can also be used as a conversation starter/opener.

The only caveat is maintaining your tan, but sparing a few minutes each week is well worth it from my experience.

Tip: There is no substitute for a real tan (inclusive of sun-beds and sun-showers). A fake tan out of a bottle just isn’t the same.

Your Accessories

Women are intelligent – of that there is no doubt. Rather than ask you your bank balance straight off, they’ll try to gauge your wealth by looking at your attire and accessories. They will weigh up with an expert’s eye your watch, wallet, bag, briefcase, scarf, gloves, sunglasses, cufflinks, ties, hats, etc. And guess what? If they see a Rolex instead of a Casio, they’ll be easier to bed.

Your Cologne

The Dreamer by Versace is my personal favourite. Aqua Di Giò by Armani is also cologne I particularly like. Whatever your preferences, it’s always advisable to be wearing a cologne of some sort as it helps add to your well-groomed image. Don’t bathe in it mind you: a touch that the woman only discovers as she draws close to you is often a pleasant surprise for her.

Tip: If you can’t take care of yourself, women will get the impression you can’t take care of them.

Your Hair Style

The more masculine your hair style, the better your results will be. Think about it. Most guys like their women to be feminine, and so long hair on women is deemed most attractive. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that most women like their guys to be masculine, and so short hair on guys is deemed most attractive. Not all guys can pull off short hair however, so do what suits you best.

Tip: Having a particular hair style won’t get you laid. Your overall game will.
